ABOUT
Emma, artist name E S, is a 22-year-old singer, songwriter and producer from Worcester, now living in London. Being a self proclaimed ‘weird child’, Emma always turned to creative outlets to express herself when she couldn’t.
Emma started making her own music when she was 10 years old and initially wrote lyrics whilst playing the piano, then started producing on her brothers old laptop when she realised she could be a ‘one man band’.
Emma pursued her interest in songwriting and production and went on to complete a diploma in songwriting at BIMM Birmingham. She has now completed her 3rd year studying and will graduate with a bachelors degree in Songwriting and Production in December 2024.
fter a diagnosis of autism, she decided to explore her brain more and accept herself for who she is. Inspired by her emotions she lets us into her inner most thoughts through her dark R&B and alternative pop creations.Her influences include Melanie Martinez and Rei Ami and her creative compositions contain heavy bass-lines, layered vocal harmonies and thoughtful and playful lyrics, proudly all produced and written by herself.
Under the artist name E S, before releasing any music she had performed at numerous events including the Commonwealth games, the opening night at the refurbished ‘The Halls’ in Wolverhampton and Amex Unsigned in London.
Emma loves the buzz of playing in front of live audiences and looks forward to spending more time on the road in 2025 and beyond.As E S, Emma has now released 3 tracks, Sweet Tooth, Red and Window, gaining over 9000 monthly listeners in her first 6 months since debuting.
Sweet tooth has now past 20,000 streams on Spotify alone, with Red close behind.Red was also picked up and played by Jess Iszatt on Radio 1 BBC introducing and Window is also receiving critical acclaim in the first few days of release.
Emma treats the music she releases as a piece of art that is an extension of herself, and is a massive perfectionist, but is still in love with the process of creating.
She aims to one day be able to have the means to bring people on a visit to her weird and wonderfully dark universe.
